Dear Members, Guests, and Visitors:

Attached is our 2019 Water Quality Report for our Freeman Creek Water system. Just like last year, the state of Colorado requires this standard format report summarizing our water testing results for the past year - be communicated to all of our water consumers.

As we reported for 2018, all of our critical testing (chlorine, turbidity, nitrates, and absence of harmful bacteria) were well within the safe drinking water guidelines established by the Colorado Department of Public Health. The attached report quantifies those results.

In addition, since 2019 was the first full year as a "community" water system, Colorado required us to collect many quarterly samples to test for chemicals, radioactive materials, inorganic metals (including lead and copper), and harmful disinfection byproducts. I am very happy to report that all of those test results came back well below levels of concern, and many of the chemicals could not even be detected by the labs. The attached report also quantifies those results. Because of the good results, many of the testing requirements will be reduced in frequency from quarterly to annual, or every 3 or 6 years going forward. However; given our year-round status, we will still be doing more testing than we did prior to 2019.

Please let me know if you have any questions about our Freeman Creek water quality.

Sincerely,

Wayne Barron, Water Operator
